On the Pedigree....
As much as we would like it to be otherwise, rabbits don't live forever. Some of my original Germans have grown old and passed away, but they are still showing up on pedigrees of the animals I breed. I think it is nice to be able to see where an animal came from, parent-wise, so I'm including pictures (if I have them) of some of the angoras that helped me produce what we have in our barn now.

German Angora Doe, Dark Starz CarmineCarmine was one of my favorite does. She was 100% German angora, and she had a quirky personality. She loved Craisins, and expected them every time I opened her cage. She had beautiful wool, and lots of it. I miss her, but I see her influence in her daughter Eowyn, and her granddaughter Galadriel.

German Angora Buck, Gay's CharlieCharlie was a beautiful buck, sweet-natured and friendly. I got him from Kim Gay in Georgia, as my first pedigreed German buck. Unfortunately, he died suddenly, but not before he and Carmine gave me Gandalf, Arwen, and Eowyn. Gandalf and Arwen went to new homes, but Eowyn still lives in my barn, and gives me babies with sweet personalities and wonderfully soft wool.
Sorry, I haven't yet found a picture of Charlie. I'll add it when I do....
